Welcome! I'm Alejandro de la Calle, PhD
Postdoctoral Researcher (CSIC Momentum Program) at Institute of Functional Biology and Genomics (IBFG, CSIC-USAL)
I am a seasoned Computational Scientist and AI Engineer with a deep-seated interest in advanced computation and the innovative solutions it offers. My career spans the development and application of cutting-edge computational methods, from High-Performance Computing (HPC) to leading-edge Machine Learning and Generative AI (GenAI) systems. With a PhD in Theoretical Physics and two MSc's in Visual Analytics and Big Data and Physics and Technology of Lasers, I am well-equipped to leverage computational power to solve complex problems across diverse fields. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the CSIC Momentum Program at the Institute of Functional Biology and Genomics (IBFG, CSIC-USAL), within the project "Creación de la Unidad de Bioinformática y Ciencia de Datos del IBFG". My current interests focus on applying AI to computational biology, data science, and biophysics, while further deepening my skills in proteomics.
